Cats bury Bulldogs 19-0


The West Genesee boys varsity lacrosse team ran roughshod over the visiting Nottingham Bulldogs to improve their record to 3-0(7-0) with a 19-0 shellacking at a matinee game held at West Genesee highschool over the spring break.

Lead by senior attackman and co-captain Drew Dabrowski who had six points with three goals and three assists. The Cats jumped out to a 5-0 first quarter lead with goals from junior attackman Andrew Hanover , junior attackman Tom Donahue, Dabrwoski two goals and two assists ,junior middie Jake Moulton with senior middie Patrick McCormick adding an assist.

Genny added seven more in the second to take a 12-0 lead as Donahue added his second, Dabrowski a third, junior attackman Alex Bily also contibuted to go along with two goals from junior middie Brian Stanton and a final marker from senior middie Bill Gleason. With four more goals in the third quarter from senior attackman Jed Bebee, McCormack, senior midfielder Kyle Moore and senior midfielder Jeff Murphy the Cats increased their lead to 16-0.

Juniors Brian Cost, Dan Balestra and senior middie Andrew Sugar closed out the fourth quarter with a goal a piece to finish of Dogs 19-0.
