Genny routes the Rams 8-3
Dabrowski and Hanover lead the Cats
The West Genesee Wildcats 4-0(10-1) put and end to a three game week by defeating Class B opponent the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams 8-3 at West Genesee High school.
For the second game in a row the Cats found themselves down early as the Rams took a 1-0 lead just 38 seconds into the game on a goal by junior middie Mark Becker. Wildcat sophomore attackman Andrew Hanover coming off a four goal game against Nottingham the day before combined with junior attackman Drew Dabrowski to knot the game at 1-1 at the 8:18 mark. Just minutes later Hanover and Dabrowski would pair up again and the Cats had a 2-1 lead with 6:50 left in the first quarter.
Senior middie and captain Mark Conklin got the Cats on the board first in the second quarter when he cut down the slot took a feed from Hanover and buried the shot for a 3-1 lead. Hanover was at it again at 4:03 with a solo effort as he moved to the J-D goal all alone and increased the lead to 4-1. The Hanover, Dabrowski duo then clicked again less than 30 seconds later as Genny took a 5-1 halftime lead.

The Cats netted the only two scores of the second half to extend their lead to 7-1 on a goal by Dabrowski with an assist to Conklin at 4:21 and a goal by junior attackman Jed Bebee with an assist to Hanover with just 1:02 left in the third quarter. J-D fourth quarter comeback bid was short lived as their two goals were nullified by Jed Bebbe's second of the game with and assist from Hanover to make the final score 8-3.
